Terms & Conditions for Guides New Zealand

1.0 GENERAL

1.1. As part of Guides New Zealand Limited, a Not For Profit New Zealand organisation, all Guides New Zealand website activities come under New Zealand legal jurisdiction.

1.2. Guides New Zealand is committed to following fair business practices. To this end we assure customers that the operation of this website follows the Model Code for Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce published by the New Zealand Ministry of Commerce, and that we faithfully observe our obligations as set out by the Fair Trading Act 1986 and the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

2.0 ORDER CANCELLATION

2.1 Though Guides New Zealand will endeavour to supply orders placed and accepted on this website, order placement and acceptance do not constitute an obligation on the Guides New Zealand website to supply. Guides New Zealand reserves the right to cancel any order without notice. Guides New Zealand Limited's obligations will be limited to protections provided by the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986.

2.2. In event of any cancelled order, cheque or direct debt payments will be refunded in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. In the event that credit card payment is processed for a cancelled order, refunds will processed in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

2.3 Customers who wish to cancel any order must notify Guides New Zealand by email by 9am on the next business day following the date of order.

3.0 PRICING

3.1 Prices displayed on the Guides New Zealand website are subject to change without notice. Prices for items on an order are fixed once your order has been accepted. Subsequent price changes either up or down will not be retroactively applied to accepted orders.

4.0 FAULTY OR DAMAGED GOODS

4.1 Whenever possible, Guides New Zealand will undertake to repair or replace any goods damaged prior to delivery. Guides New Zealand will undertake to repair or replace any faulty goods. Damaged or faulty goods will be either repaired or replaced at the descretion of Guides New Zealand. Where repair or replacement of damaged or faulty goods is not possible a full refund will be issued for the value of the damaged goods. Damaged and faulty goods must be returned to Guides New Zealand in accordance with our returns policy.

5.0 RETURNS

5.1 Guides New Zealand will only accept returns for the following:

  • Goods damaged prior to delivery
  • Goods with manufacturing faults
  • Goods supplied incorrectly
  • Goods that vary from their description on the
    Guides New Zealand website
